Students seeking a second bachelor's degree must apply for admission through the Undergraduate Admission Office. In order to be considered for admission, the first or any prior baccalaureate degree must have been earned from a regionally accredited college or university. Those having earned an equivalent degree at a non-U.S. institution will be considered for admission provided the institution is formally recognized by the ministry of education, or its equivalent, of the home country.
Second-degree undergraduate students must complete all program and major requirements for the degree in accordance with the Undergraduate Catalog academic policies and regulations in effect for the student's admit term. Only coursework that was completed within a ten-year period immediately preceding the anticipated graduation date may be used if required for the program of study. Students may be expected to repeat courses or take additional coursework in order to meet current program requirements and, if necessary, related University requirements.
Students whose prior undergraduate degree was not earned from Duquesne University must complete a minimum of 30 credits in residence at Duquesne University. Students whose prior degree was earned from Duquesne University must complete a minimum of 30 additional credits beyond the first undergraduate degree in order to earn a second bachelor's degree. Academic honors will not be awarded for a second bachelor's degree.
