Duquesne University has been named one of the best colleges for veterans by the Military Times Best for Vets: Colleges ranking.

The university, which was also recently named a Top 10 Military Friendly School, works to help veterans find the right educational path by offering academic guidance and resources to assist them in meeting their bigger goals.

“Whether it’s choosing a program, help with military benefits or preparing for post-military life, we understand the unique needs of our active duty, reserve, guard and veteran students,” said Christopher Boissonnault, director of the University’s Office for Military and Veteran Students. “With more than 80 academic programs, dedicated professors, career counseling services and extracurricular events, we create a community for veterans that helps set them up for future success.”

The Military Times Best for Vets recognition is the largest and most comprehensive annual ranking of schools for military service members and veterans. It uses university survey results and public data from the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to create the rankings.
