Biography

Justin fell in love with music at a young age. He began singing and playing guitar sometime in middle school, and his interest has only grown from there. After taking lessons on classic guitar from Ian Wardenski, Justin attended Duquesne to continue his guitar studies under Thomas Kikta and began a track in music technology and sound recording, studying under both Jesse Naus and Jay Dudt. As a performer, he has played in different groups including Heavy Chest, The Cheer'ly Men, and Wicked Wrister as well as being an occasional session musician at Red Caiman Studios.

Along with vocals and guitar Justin also plays mandolin, banjo, piano/keys, and a slew of other esoteric instruments. And perhaps it was his love of LEGOs in his younger days that led to a keen interest in synthesis, sound design, and building virtual instruments and experiments using programs such as Reason, Ableton, and Max/MSP (among others) to realize the sounds he hears in his head.
