Biography

Joseph Polk is currently an Educational Technology Specialist with the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. A proud graduate of Duquesne University, Joe earned his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Logistics Management in 1993. During his time at Duquesne, he competed as a member of the Men's Cross Country team, served as President of the Residence Hall Association and was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity where he spearheaded a number of service projects in the greater Pittsburgh area. He also served as a member of the Student Government Association.

As an active volunteer and community leader in the Pittsburgh region, Joe serves as a board member for the Pittsburgh-Matanzas Sister Cities Partnership and a technical advisor and previous board member of the Historical Society of Mt. Lebanon. He also serves as a board member of PFLAG Pittsburgh. He previously served as the 2nd Vice President for Outreach Teen & Family Services as well as Grand Knight and member of the Board of Trustees of the Knights of Columbus.

Joe has spent many years of service with Boy Scouts of America, serving as the Cubmaster of Pack 38 in Mt. Lebanon since 2013; and as Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 238 in Mt. Lebanon since 2019. Additionally, he was a volunteer firefighter with the Mt. Lebanon Fire Department for over 26 years.
