Health Service's providers will prescribe medications to the pharmacy of the student's choice or a preferred pharmacy provider due to insurance.

Health Services has teamed up with UPMC Community Pharmacies, located on Centre Avenue, to be the preferred pharmacy for DUHS. The UPMC Community Pharmacies will deliver prescriptions to the Duquesne University Health Services office daily for pick up. Students MUST bring their Duquesne ID to pick up their prescriptions. If a student plans to send a designee, our office must be notified in ADVANCE.

UPMC Community Pharmacies operates independently from DUHS. Please contact UPMC Community Pharmacies with any questions regarding payment of prescriptions. DUHS staff are not permitted to open prescription bags delivered to Health Services.

Prescription pickup times during spring and fall semesters are as follows:

Monday - 12 - 5:15 p.m.
Tuesday - 12 - 5:15 p.m.
Wednesday - 1 - 5:15 p.m.
Thursday - 12 - 5:15 p.m.
Friday - 2 - 3:30 p.m.
