Enrollment Verification

An enrollment verification (or degree verification) is an official university document confirming your enrollment as a student and also as a degree recipient if a degree was earned. Such verifications may be needed by a third party, such as a future employer, scholarship organization, insurance company, financial services, and other organizations. Enrollment verifications can be obtained at no cost to the student.

Current Students

Current students can print their own enrollment verification to verify terms of attendance.  Log in directly to your Student Profile by selecting Print Enrollment Verification. This official verification can be shared with relevant third-parties.

This printing capability is available 24/7 based on our enrollment-reporting schedule to the National Student Clearinghouse. Fall term verifications are available in SSB after September 30th, and Spring term verifications are available after February 16th. After these dates, enrollment verifications can be printed by the student and mailed directly to the requestor.

If a student's request does not fit into the time frames described above, or if the verification must be sent directly from our office, use the Request Enrollment Verification option in the Student Profile.

Former Students

Former students should download and complete the Enrollment and Degree Verification Form. After downloading the form to your computer, you will be able to type in the fillable areas of the .pdf form.

Once completed, email signed forms to verify@duq.edu for processing. If you have a form from a third-party organization that must also be completed, make sure you complete the student name/address portion, and attach it to the email. Any such forms must be signed/authorized by the student in order for us to complete them.

Degree Verifications Requested by Third-Party Organizations

Degrees are no longer verified through the Office of the University Registrar.  To conveniently serve prospective employers and other organizations requiring degree certification, Duquesne University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verifications.  This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at DegreeVerify.
