Program Requirements

There are five required core courses in the Master's of Leadership program. These courses are:
  • Theories and Models of Leadership
  • Organizational Communication
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Leading People
  • Leadership Capstone
There are a number of elective courses students can choose from. Some examples are:
  • Leading Mindfully
  • Leadership for Turbulent Times
  • Developing Leadership Character Through Adversity

Note: With permission, up to two elective courses can be transferred in from another Master's program at Duquesne or from another graduate program. 

Are You Ready to Get Started?

  • Include your professional experience (full and part-time), community and volunteer service, internships or other relevant experience
  • Military service members may submit SMART or AARTS transcripts to satisfy this requirement

All students must submit a personal goals statement detailing their motivation to apply to the program as well as what they hope to achieve after graduating with a Master's in Leadership.
